Greetings from Andhra Chamber of Commerce, Chennai !
Under the auspices of the Renewable Energy Sub-committee, the Chamber is organizing a one-day Conference on “Renewable Energy – The Future Syndrome”, to create an awareness of the Opportunities and Challenges of the renewable energy sector among the MSMEs.
Renewable Energy is the industry of the future and India ranks 4th globally for total renewable energy installed capacity (including large hydro) 4th in wind power, and 4th in solar power capacity. However the MSME sector is in the throes of change, debilitated by the economic impact of Covid-19 restrictions, and is desperately seeking ways to adapt to a changed reality. The Government of India has recognized the need of MSMEs in meeting the challenges of a global tightening of green norms and setting higher benchmarks to meet global standards for production and global supply chain systems. Hence , a plethora of policies and schemes have been announced to facilitate MSMEs to upgrade both with technical assistance, financial support and skill development.
The Conference will also cover the Government Schemes and Policies in force to facilitate industry. A Training Session is included in the 2nd half of the Conference to enable a tangible take-away for the participants in terms of a practical exposure and entrepreneurial opportunities that are available in the sector to MSMEs.
